What Journey Book collects
Journey Book collects the account information you provide or authorize through email sign-in, such as your name, email address, and profile identifier. We also store the travel places you mark as visited, notes you add, friend and group relationships, invitations, notifications, and basic technical information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use information
We use your information to provide the app, save your travel maps and memories, show social and group features, send invitations or feedback-related emails, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve Journey Book.
Sharing and visibility
Your private notes are intended to stay private to your account. Public profiles and accepted social or group relationships may make parts of your travel map visible to other users. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
Journey Book uses third-party providers to operate the product, including ChatGPT Sites for hosting and data storage, and Resend for sign-in links, invitations, and feedback emails. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Journey Book.
Data retention and deletion
We keep account and travel data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service. You can request deletion of your account or personal data by contacting us at support@journeybook.co.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authentication, database access controls, and encrypted transport. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
Journey Book is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
